This Privacy Policy describes how ArkStone Financial LLC collects, uses, shares, and secures your personal information in connection with our website, mobile applications, client portals, and other digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Sites”), and how we provide the Sites, educational materials, digital content, and other services (the “Services”).
It applies to information collected from and about you in connection with your use of the Sites and Services, as well as from other sources (e.g., over the telephone with our representatives or from third parties in connection with our Services), and not to external websites we do not own or control (“External Sites”). By using the Sites and Services, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.
As providers of Services that involve the use of personal — and sometimes sensitive — information, protecting confidentiality is a top priority. We will never sell your personal information, and we use industry-standard technical, physical, administrative, and organizational controls to help safeguard your data. We may update this Privacy Policy at any time and will take steps required by applicable law to notify you of material changes. You can use some of the Sites by just browsing (as a “Visitor”) or by accessing the Sites and Services after creating and maintaining an account, for example, to seek, apply for, and/or purchase one or more products through the Sites (as a “Member”). Visitors and Members may be referred to collectively as “users,” “you,” or “your.” Some Services are only available to Members.

The types and sources of personal information we collect depend on the Service used, how you interact with us and our Sites, and/or how you were referred to us. They may include:

Information you provide directly (e.g., online tools, applications or forms, calls, texts, emails, chats, video conferences).

Information generated through your interaction with the Sites (see “Cookies and Online Tracking Technologies”).

Information from social networks or other third-party platforms you may use to access our Sites and Services (see “Establishing an Online Account” and “Social Features”).

2. Types of Information We Collect and How We Use It: Site Users
Usage Information. We collect information about the technical mechanisms you use to access the Sites (e.g., browser and OS type, referring link, pages viewed, device type and ID, IP address). We use this to inspect, analyze, and improve our Sites and Services and ensure they function well with the technology used by Visitors and Members. We may also use IP addresses to comply with location-based legal rules.
Newsletters. Visitors and Members may sign up for email newsletters by providing first and last name and email address. We may collect and use engagement data (e.g., opens and clicks) to improve relevance.
Marketing. In connection with marketing campaigns, we collect and use engagement information (e.g., opens/clicks) to ensure our updates and offers are relevant to you.
Email and Chat. Visitors and Members can communicate with us via email or chat on the Sites by providing first and last name and email address. We use this information to provide products and Services relevant to you. Members may share additional personal information while communicating about Services; we use this to provide the Services requested.
Customer Surveys and Reviews. Participation is voluntary. If you participate, we may request name, contact information, and demographic information (e.g., ZIP code) to evaluate service levels and improve products, Sites, and Services. With your consent, we may use your name and responses on our Sites, marketing materials, or social media; with your consent, we may share your info with a third-party service provider to help resolve errors or improve their services.
Establishing an Online Account. You can create an account with your first and last name and email address and set a password (“Login Credentials”). You may also provide your telephone number. We may use your email and phone to contact you about requested Services and products. You may also choose to log in via a social network or third-party platform (e.g., Facebook or Google). We may receive your alias, email, name, country, language preference, and profile picture, and use it as described here. Such collection is also subject to those platforms’ terms/policies.
Getting Insurance Estimates. If you request an insurance estimate, you will become a Member and may need to provide: age, gender, ZIP code, marital status, employment status, risk tolerance, living situation, property/vehicle ownership, family information (e.g., number of children/pets), homeowner/renter status, income, savings/debts, and general details about current insurance coverage (“Estimate Information”), as well as name, email, and phone (“Contact Information”). If done by phone, you will provide these to our representative. We use Estimate Information to assess current coverage and/or provide recommendations; we use Contact Information to contact you about products and Services.
Getting Quotes & Applying for Insurance. To get a quote and apply for a policy, you may need to provide additional information, such as date of birth, gender, occupation, Social Security Number, address, smoking status, height/weight, family medical history, health history, driving history, and citizenship status (together with Estimate Information, “Application Information”). “Account Information” includes your Login Credentials, Estimate Information, Contact Information, and Application Information.
Policy Information. If you apply for insurance, we may receive information from the carrier (e.g., application/policy status, payment info, claim info, or Application Information provided directly to the carrier). We use this to service your application/policy and provide requested Services and products.
Banking and Credit Card Information. If you submit a credit card payment through our Services, we do not store credit card information on our servers or associate it with your Account Information for any purpose other than completing your purchase.
Other Uses of Personal Information on our Sites and Services.
 In addition to the above, we may use your personal information to:

Provide, improve, maintain, or optimize the Services;

Provide insurers with required application information;

Provide or offer other financial and consumer products and services from partners with whom we have a joint marketing agreement;

Provide, maintain, and improve customer service;

Tailor your experience;

Develop and improve the Sites and Services;

Respond to inquiries; and

Communicate with you regarding purchased products and other products/services that may be of interest.

We may also aggregate personal information for benchmarking and analysis.
Use of Personal Information for Compliance and Protection.
 We may use your personal information to:

Protect our, your, or others’ rights, privacy, safety, or property (including by making and defending legal claims);

Cookies and Online Tracking Technologies
Our Sites use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track movements around the Sites, and gather demographic information. Cookies are small software/text files used to store and receive identifiers and other information on computers and mobile devices. Certain cookies may last 90+ days.
We use cookies to:

Recognize you on return visits and expedite login; verify/authenticate accounts and help detect fraud;

Show ads and make product/service recommendations;

Measure ad campaign performance;

Serve and measure ads across browsers/devices; and

Conduct web analytics on Sites/Services usage.

Web beacons (clear GIFs/pixel tags/action tags) collect or transmit data back to us or third parties (e.g., whether an email was opened). We use them to facilitate advertising and functionality, associate user feedback, administer/monitor email campaigns, analyze popular pages and interactions, perform site testing, optimize data store interactions, improve support/chat functionality, analyze advertising efficacy, customize content, and enable/improve targeted advertising on our Sites and third-party sites (e.g., Facebook). Some functions may be implemented via custom HTML.

Content you post via such features may be publicly displayed by the third-party service. Both ArkStone and the third party may have access to information about your use of the Services and the third-party service.III. How We Secure Your Information
We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to help prevent unauthorized use, access, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure of your data.
